The "Fascist" United States of America

As I am sure almost everyone has heard, the state of Arizona and their GOP governor Jan Brewer reintroduced fascist ideologies back into the United States. Last Friday, with the help of a GOP majority, the state government of Arizona introduced the most radical immigration law in the United States. The law goes as follows:
1: Arizona's law orders immigrants to carry their alien registration documents at all times and requires police to question people if there's reason to suspect they're in the United States illegally.
2: It also targets those who hire illegal immigrant laborers or knowingly transport them.

Now while the second part of the law in correct in what it presents. The part many Americans, including myself, find so disgusting is the first part. All of this controversy sparked up with the inability of the US government to pass immigration reform and an ever increasing amount of illegal aliens. Granted, I am all for immigration reform, but representing policies that resemble Nazi Germany is absolutely absurd.

What I want you to picture is Eastern Europe from 1939-1944. We have all seen the movies of the war depicting Nazi's requiring citizens to carry papers and identification on them at all times, with the notion, that if they Jewish or non-Aryan, they were to be arrested. Now I want you to jump to 2010, where Arizona will be applying the same rules to Hispanic citizens. Regardless if they are illegal or not, all citizens questioned on their citizenship status, will have to present papers to prove their identity. Is that really what America has transformed into? Aside from the sheer unconstitutionality of the bill, other problems such as racial profiling will come into play. It is an absolutely embarrassment to call myself a citizen of the USA with this law still in play. I have never been more angry over any law this much since the introduction of the Patriot Act.

Im really urging all of you to protest this law as much as possible, because the identity of America as the "melting pot" of the world is in jeopardy. Write to anyone, who you think could be a difference maker in the repealing of this law. Unless you want a country that represents fascist ideologies, I urge you to do it as quickly as possible.
