Los Suns

For the last two and a half weeks the United States has been plagued with an immigration law that has seen protest from Hispanic and non-Hispanic communities across the country. Recently the Chicago Cubs were protesting the Arizona Diamondbacks game that was being played in Wrigley Field. In addition the MLBPA came out with a press release stating that they are encouraging GOP governor of Arizona Jan Brewer to reconsider the law that was passed and remove it entirely. However, one of the boldest statements towards this fascist bill was demonstrated by the NBA's Phoenix Suns. On May 5, 2010, the Suns, rather then just wearing their normal jerseys, sported ones that read "Los Suns". I feel that while the organization stated that it was simply because of Cinco de Mayo, that there is a general underlying premise that the Suns were trying to demonstrate with these jerseys. While this is a short entry, this is definitely a good first step for the eradication of this ridiculous bill. That is all.
